The joint-companies Eastern Caribbean Freight Lines, and KLC Freight Services, having been in the freight shipping service for over 20 years were looking for an updated identity. They wanted identical logos displaying the full name of their companies and a freight ship. The final result emphasized their 'Gateway to the Caribbean' slogan with the freight ship leaving the surrounding ring. The selection of blue colour tones also helped maintain a tropical destination feel to the brand.
